Sandra Garby, president and VP of operations at Vizinex RFID, the industry leader in developing and manufacturing high performance RFID tags tailored to specific applications, recently spoke to a group of girls at Lehigh Valley’s CareerLink Youth Initiative Program. Garby introduced the girls to RFID technology and offered advice from her own experiences as an entrepreneur in the technology field.
“Empowering the next generation to make new discoveries and foster their curiosity for innovation starts by planting the seed at a young age,” said Sandra Garby, president and VP of operations, Vizinex RFID. “This includes educating them on technology advances – and how pursuing a career in STEM, regardless of age or gender, can be both exciting and gratifying. Giving them access to a positive female role model who works in technology can help foster this. I am honored to be able to share my real-life experiences – and how taking risks and experiencing failure has afforded me a satisfying and rewarding career, and continues to help me grow.”
