Vizinex RFID Releases Sentry 2802 RFID Tag

Vizinex RFID, the industry leader in developing and manufacturing high performance RFID tags tailored to specific applications, is pleased to announce its launch of a small footprint, low profile mount-on-metal tag, the Sentry 2802

“The small footprint, low profile and extraordinary read range are what make this Sentry product stand out from the rest,” said Ken Horton, CEO, Vizinex. “With such a small profile, this tag has very little impact on the ergonomics and appearance of the tool, instrument or cable to which it is attached.   Most users will not even know it is there, and yet it provides amazing tracking capability.   Firms tracking tools, medical instruments, small cable assemblies and other items complained that existing tags were too large, obtrusive and difficult to attach for smaller items.  The 2802 Sentry is our response to that need.”

Measuring 28mm x 1.8mm x 1.4mm, the Sentry 2802 provides an exemplary read range of up to 6’ when installed on a long, thin metal or insulated metal object. The tag has a temperature tolerance of -58°F to 365°F and is impact, vibration and intrusion resistant. Its low profile ensures it is very unlikely to be accidentally knocked off the tagged object.

The Sentry 2802 can easily be adapted for embedding in metal or plastic, so that it can be made virtually invisible to the user while providing excellent tracking capability.
