Vizinex RFID Co-founder, President and VP of Operations Sandra Garby Presents “The Accidental Entrepreneur” at Alfred University

Sandra Garby, Co-founder, President and VP of Operations at Vizinex RFID, the industry leader in developing and manufacturing high performance RFID tags tailored to specific applications, recently spoke at her alma mater, Alfred University. Garby, a ’86 grad with a BS in Ceramic Engineering, presented the topic “The Accidental Entrepreneur” where she detailed her entrepreneurial journey from graduation to where she is today.

“It was an honor to be able to speak at the university that helped shape my career and who I am today,” said Garby. “After graduating from Alfred University in 86’, I pursued a traditional career in the corporate world.  As often is the case, life’s twists and turns sent me on a different path to entrepreneurship. I want to encourage the next generation of engineers to never stop learning and innovating and where better place to do that than the location that taught me these lessons first-hand.”

“The Accidental Entrepreneur” highlighted how Garby’s love of creating, building and problem-solving naturally led her to life as an engineer. Her analytical and curious mind formed the basis for her career. In her presentation, Garby detailed her path to success and lessons she learned along the way.
