Sentry Duo II Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Tag from Vizinex RFID Provides Multi-surface Mounting, Smaller Size

Vizinex RFID, the industry leader in developing and manufacturing high performance radio frequency identification (RFID) tags for specific applications and industries, is pleased to announce its launch of the new multi-surface tag, the Sentry Duo II.

“The next generation of our highly popular Duo tag, the Sentry Duo II incorporates improvements in read range and surface compatibility in a package that is only half as tall as our initial tag,” said Ken Horton, CEO, Vizinex. “While our customers are still able to mount this tag on a variety of assets and asset materials, they are now able to get that flexibility in a smaller RFID tag at a lower price.”

Measuring 36.3mm x 10.9mm x 2.8mm, the Sentry Duo II provides an exemplary read range of up to 10 feet when mounted on metal, and 8 feet when mounted on non-metal surfaces. The tag’s ViziCore construction provides impact and temperature resistance of up to 185 degrees Celcius for use in tough environments and can withstand rough handling, corrosive chemicals and severe vibration.

The Sentry Duo II can easily be adapted for embedding in metal or plastic so that it can be made virtually invisible to the user while providing excellent tracking capability. It also has a slot that can be used to hang the tag using wire or a zip tie.

The tag is ideal for a variety of uses cases across industries, such as:

  • Weapons management
  • Asset tracking of medical devices and autoclave services
  • IT asset management
